Playing for Clanfield is like having a second family. We win together, we lose together, but most importantly we play together…

How we got involved:

I met Chris and Rachel whilst they were looking to purchase a property. I remember the first time I took them to view a property and as soon as they walked into the hallway, Rachel said “this is our forever home”. The property needed totally renovating and they could see through all of the work and set their plans for the future. I met their three girls who are a credit to Rachel and Chris and we just connected. When I found out they were looking for a sponsor, I just had to get involved, especially when this is in our local community.

GIRLPOWER

Clanfield U11 girls are now entering our 3rd season in the Hampshire Girls Youth league having secured promotion to the top division. Myself and my coach pride ourselves on making football fun, safe and inclusive, whilst still creating a competitive environment for the girls to come and improve their football skills and knowledge. We’ve got a real family feel about us with all of the lovely parents who help out on match days too.

I’ve played football my whole life and having 3 daughters I didn’t think they’d be in to football, and certainly didn’t think I’d ever be coaching, but they love it! Girls football has really taken off and we’re proud to be helping the girls achieve their dreams taking them on their footballing journey! It’s a lot of hard work and dedication but the smiles on their faces make it all worth it!

We asked some of the girls what it feels like to play for the team and they said “Playing for Clanfield is like having a second family. We win together, we lose together, but most importantly we play together
